Ok, so let's recap, shall we? It's been a while I know since I last posted, but things have been crazy! Lol and I was waiting on the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to post again. So, here it is!
I'm sitting in the Colo. Spgs. airport, waiting on my flight to take me (and my parents, who are coming with me for Orientation Weekend at Franciscan University) to Minneapolis, and from there to Pittsburgh, and from there we drive the 1/2 hour to Steubenville, Ohio where I will be studying Drama.
So, let's sum this all up in three words:
GOD IS AWESOME!!!!
College is going to be amazing, and I cannot wait to see where God is going to take me through this step from a girl to a woman, from a H.S. graduate to a College student.
This is amazing. =) Just letting ya know.
More updates to come. Probably from our hotel room in Pittsburgh.
And the word is....tye-dye. He he. (If I spelled that correctly lol)
Adios my peeps! Talk to you soon!
Jenn
P.S. There will be (very VERY soon) a developing romance story on here. =) You'll see what I mean when it starts. ;p he he Enjoy the suspense!
This blog is more than just maturing from that awkward phase of adolescence into adulthood, but is a testimony to how God uses everything (especially media, in this case specifically The Lord of the Rings) to change people's lives. This is my testament to how awesome God is, and that when life is random, it can be fun. And of course, that Lord of the Rings is awesome.

Letter to a Nameless Lover
Ok, I'm wiped. WAY too tired to dive into a full entry tonight. But I do have a little something to keep you at least somewhat satisfied ha ha A poem I wrote today. (Can't take full credit; the Lord Jesus in the Holy Spirit wrote it through me, and it is SO beautiful. I could never write something this beautiful on my own.) Enjoy.
It is because I am happy to find
That I am happy in love.
I saw weeds in my yard
That had bloomed purple flowers
And I smiled.
And do you want to know why?
I smiled again, and again for no reason,
And the reason is clear:
You have given me a love to be happy,
To rejoice in my other half,
And I to know that even in the little things,
I can be happy
For God has shown me my other half,
And has blessed me for knowing
It is ok to be free in love
And to be free to be in love,
As I have never experienced before.
And do you want to know why
I am writing you this as before?
Because I cannot contain the happiness welling up in my soul
And now I see that, you are happy too
That being in love suits you
And that, as the old country song says,
“You look so good in love.”
The shine is back in your eyes, baby,
And I hope it stays there,
For that glimmer in your eyes makes it to be
One of the most wonderful things in the world to know:
That you are happy, and that is all I want.
Take it as you will my dear,
But as I close this letter,
I want you to know
I love you,
And I always will.
I think this entry calls for more than just a random word...let's make it a random sign: <3
=) Goodnight! Talk to ya'll tomorrow! God bless you and yours, forever and always. =)

Learning in Love
I must admit, I am very tempted to write a one sentence blog:
The most wonderful joy I have ever to experience at the Hand of God, and in the hand and heart of a wonderful man, is this: there is nothing better, not a joy in this world or the next greater, than to be in love.
That is all. Have a great and very blessed night. =)
God bless you, forever and always!
Jenn
P.S. The random word of the day is....lola. =) (That's for you, baby, whenever you do read this ha ha). Goodnight. =)

Let's have some fun, shall we?
So, I didn't post yesterday lol. Hopefully I can beg your forgiveness through some rather interesting facts, all about Lord of the Rings, and maybe that will whet your appetite for more later.
Cool LOTR Trivia Fact #1:
The Ringwraith's "scream" is actually a crew-woman's scream put into sound effects.
Cool LOTR Trivia Fact #2:
Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn), in the scene in The Two Towers when he kicks the helmet across the plain, broke two of his toes, and the scream on screen is Viggo venting the pain of his foot into his performance. AWESOME actor.
Cool LOTR Trivia Fact #3:
In The Return of the King, Elijah Wood (Frodo) was so exhausted and wiped from the Mount Doom scene that at the end when the actors would stand and give thank you/goodbye speeches, he wasn't able to.
Whetted yet? Ha ha I hope so! Cause there's more where that came from. Now, let's do some awesome trivia questions this time, and we'll see if you can get them right.
Trivia Question #1:
Which actor didn't arrive on set until the day filming started?
Trivia Question #2:
Who was the first actor to get injured on the set?
Trivia Question #3:
Who was the youngest cast member on the project?
Trivia Question #4:
What did the nine cast members do all together at the end of filming?
Alright, before we get to the answers to the above questions (no Google searches!!!), let's have some more fun with LOTR, this time with some pictures. These are some of my favorite (and I think pretty rare, unless you know where to find them) pictures from the films, and I think you'll enjoy them just as much as I do. =)
The picture above was taken during the filming of the Gray Havens scene. Just stunning, to see them so into the emotion, and making it so real. These guys have such AMAZING talent. They all do.
Okay, now back to the trivia questions! You didn't cheat did you? *teacher's glare* I would hope not, young grasshoppers lol.
Trivia Question #1:
Which actor didn't arrive on set until the day filming started?
--Viggo Mortensen, who was cast VERY late as Aragorn (due to a change in casting by Peter Jackson and the production crew), didn't arrive on set until the day filming started for his character (which, if I remember correctly, was The Prancing Pony, Bree scene in The Fellowship of the Ring).
Trivia Question #2:
Who was the first actor to get injured on the set?
--Orlando Bloom (Legolas), who fell off of his horse, (followed immediately by Gimli's stunt-double, landing right on top of Orlando) cracked a rib.
Trivia Question #3:
Who was the youngest cast member on the project?
--Elijah Wood, who was 18 when he flew to New Zealand in 1999, was the youngest cast member on project.
Trivia Question #4:
What did the nine cast members do all together at the end of filming?

The pic above was taken after Elijah fell into the swamp pool in the Dead Marshes in The Two Towers movie. I love how Andy is helping put the foil blanket on Elijah to help him warm up.
I don't think this picture needs much more than this: Wow. Just...wow.
The picture above was taken during the filming of the Gray Havens scene. Just stunning, to see them so into the emotion, and making it so real. These guys have such AMAZING talent. They all do.
And now, just because I love humor, here's this HILARIOUS spoof LOTR pic, taken from The Fellowship of the Ring movie.
(These pics can be found on frodoforever.com, arwen-undomiel.com, and always.ejwsites.net, not necessarily in that order.)

--After the films, each of the nine members of the Fellowship [Viggo Mortensen, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin (Sam), Billy Boyd (Pippin), Dominic Monaghan (Merry), Sean Bean (Boromir), Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Orlando Bloom], except for John Rhys-Davies (who sent his stunt double in his place), each got a tattoo of the Elvish letters for "nine", representing their brotherhood and friendship after working with each other for so long on the set (16 months for the principal filming, not to mention three consecutive years of returning to New Zealand for extra scenes).
There you are, my friends! Much more to come later. God bless you and yours, always and forever! =) Adios!!
And the random word is: Marble. He he =)
Bye bye!

Here It Goes Again (Not the Ok Go song)
So what have we learned from yesterday?
Wait, and don't make decisions until you feel apt to make them. ha ha God is good about answering prayers, despite how ignorant and stubborn we can be sometimes. (Or most of the time in my case ha ha)
As you can see, I will be posting again, pretty regularly, as long as the Lord keeps providing the words.
Let's get a few things straight, mainly about myself as a person, and a rather odd one at that. After all, you need to know what to expect right? It's like those "Wet Floor" signs store employees put on the floors. If there is an injury here due to "wet floors", at least I gave you proper warning, right?
The first thing is one, I am OBSESSED with the Lord of the Rings. Ok, not really obsessed, and actually, that word has a very negative connation with me, since I was teased with it so often in middle school. So, if tempted to use it, don't! It's not a nice word! No, but seriously, I love the Lord of the Rings. I probably won't get to it today, but someday I will tell the story of how the LOTR (Lord of the Rings) truly and completely changed my life. God blessed that project so abundantly, and shed His graces upon it so greatly that I would LOVE to share some of that here, and show how He saved my life through these movies. And ultimately how the films (and books) inspired the major writing project that I'm writing now (through the Holy Spirit of course, but I'll get to that later.)
Ok, next. As you've probably already deduced, I am very spiritual. Not gonna lie; God is my life, my whole life. And that, of course, is going to spill over into other areas of my life, like this one, and what better way to evangelize than through something as casual and comfortable as this? My goal here is not to make you uncomfortable, but I'm gonna warn you now, this will be in EVERY post, without fail. So, be prepared! *organ music/crash of thunder in the background*
This is bound to come up at some point as well, so I'm just gonna get it out there now: there is a great guy in CA that I am madly in love with. And, as God has used this love to MAJORLY change my life, I'm going to share how this came about (for I am a very stubborn soul; God has to quite literally hit me across the side of my head with something before I'll really start to listen. I'm trying, I swear!). And I of course want to share why I love this guy so much, so that will come up, too. I will not share his name, but I will say that he is wonderful and totally sweet and just awesome. Someday I'll post a picture of him, and show you how wonderful he is. But, for now, you must take my word for it. Not that you have much of a choice in the matter. He he he =)
Hmmm....what else? Oh! I am starting college in the Fall (going to the awesome Catholic School Franciscan Univeristy in Steubenville, OH), so I will definitely be sharing all those new and exciting (and often nerve-wracking) experiences with you here. And who am I kidding? There will be some posts that won't fall under any of these categories, but thought I'd give you a quick idea. =)
And just an extra precautionary warning, I am a VERY opinionated person. That will come up with many things, so...prepare yourself ha ha.
For now, this is my life. God has His plans, and I have mine, and hopefully I'll listen to Him, 'cause goodness knows, my plans never work the way I want them to ha ha.
Goodbye, and God bless you and your day! Muchas gracias para leyendo! (Thanks so much for reading! he he)
And....here it is....PICKLES!
Ok. I'm done, I swear!
Talk to ya'll and yours later,
Jenn

Tsk Tsk. Must wait a little bit.
Well, don't have any followers as of yet ha ha! But God has a funny way of having us wait on something we really REALLY want to do, so I'm gonna listen to the 2x4 being whacked over the side of my head, and wait a bit before I get full-fledged into this blog. =) But there shall be updates! Just not yet, as of the present moment. =) Goodbye all!
God bless you today and always,

Here it Goes
When God opens a door, He closes a window.
Wait. That's not right. Let's try that again.
When God closes a door, He closes a window.
Ugh. You get the point, right?
Hello there. I'm Jenn Riley, as you've probably seen from my lovely little profile (in 1200 characters or less). Like Twitter. Tell us everything you're doing in 140 characters or less! Okay...so when did life become a race against the number of letters in a status? (This is ironic, because I have a twitter ha ha)
Ok, so to the point of this so-called "serious" blog. In more than 140 characters, this blog is my attempt to write down in record, and in effect share with the world, what God has been doing in my life, and other such instances when life is fun, and amusing, and of course to share with you what is cool and interesting (at least to my odd mind).
There is a little love story here, between a little girl, and a loving God, and no one else could write something like this but God. He's so creative. And I want to share it with you. After all, testimony is important, isn't it?
So, all in all, prepare for the unexpected. Er--expect the unprepared.
Ok, enough bad jokes about cliches. Very nice to meet you all! (In an author/reader sort of way, at any rate). I hope that the words in this blog will touch you, and bring you closer to the One Who loves you most: the Lord Jesus. =)
May you see that God is in everyone's hands, everyone's eyes, and especially in everyone's kind act toward you.
May God bless you and your days to come,
Jenn
P.S. Chickens! There. My random word of the day is complete. (I did say, after all, expect the unprepared) See you around! Adios mis amigos!
